CANCELLATIONS OR ALTERATION OF CAKE DUE DATE
More than 1 month away from cake due date: Loss of 50% deposit payment unless cake is transferred to an alternative available date. Orders made online and paid in full will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. The balance will be refunded subject to a $15 admin fee.
Less than 1 month but more than 1 week from due date: Loss of 50% deposit payment. Balance paid (if any) can be used as a credit towards another order. Orders made online and paid in full will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee with balance given as a credit towards another purchase.
Less than 1 week from cake due date: 100% loss of payments made. Any cake items made to date will be available for collection or delivery if practical.
Change in size If you request a reduction in your cake size prior to your cake due date we will do this subject to availability. A reduction of just one size e.g. from 9" to 8" will be refunded (subject to a $15 admin fee). Reductions larger than one size difference will be offered as a credit note towards a future purchase. Increases in size are subject to additional cost and availability at the time of request.
Cancelllation of Delivery: Refunded in full if advised 48 hours prior to delivery time.
Coronavirus 2020 In the event that Australian State or Federal Governments order a total restriction to the movement of people Sydney-wide (for dates that cover your event) we will happily swap any payment for a credit to be used within 6 months of the credit being provided or requested (if your cake has not already been started). This offer does not extend to any decisions made by other commercial companies / Institutions (either Australian or overseas) or personal decisions which may impact on your event. In these circumstances we recommend that you contact any personal Insurances that you may have which cover event cancellations and we will be more than happy to provide them with any information that they request.
Update - 6th April 2020. Orders placed after this date are made with a full understanding of the current circumstances around the COVID-19 virus. If Tanner & Gates are required to cancel an order on you then you will receive a refund or credit as agreed unless your cake has been started. In the event that you decide to no longer go ahead with your order then our standard cancellation policies will apply.
Update: July 2020. Whilst NSW remains open in the main there is the risk that events may change that situation. As the threat of COVID-19 restrictions is known our policy on last minute cancellations is a follows;
1) Cancellations with at least 14 complete working days notice (Mon - Fri) due to a change in restrictions on the movement or number of people allowed to gather as a result of State or Federal direction will be entitled to a 95% credit.
2) Cancellations with less than 6 full working days notice will not be entitled to a refund or credit.
Need a cake in a hurry ?
We can often work to a minimum of 2-3 days notice for most designs subject to availability. Depending on your exact requirements we may need to adjust your ideas slightly with the shorter timescale involved.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE GIVE NO GUARANTEE TO SUPPLY A CAKE ON A PARTICULAR DATE UNTIL A DESIGN AGREEMENT IS IN PLACE AND A PAYMENT MADE.
